Remote
visual inspection (RVI) equipment has seen several technological leaps in the
past twenty years. Miniaturization of electronics and mechanical components have
allowed for the manufacture of video probes in smaller diameters with longer
lengths and articulating assemblies. These
continual technological advancements have made the inspection of internal
industrial piping, motors and equipment much easier and efficient. Video
Boroscopes lend themselves to any application requiring remote visual testing,
from the aerospace and power generation industries to engine manufacturing and
marine operations, from chemical to oil and gas industries. Video
Boroscopes technology is especially useful for interpreting and confirming
questionable indications from other nondestructive testing techniques such as
radiography and ultrasonic inspections. APPLICATIONS ¨
Multi-observer viewing of inside surfaces (aerospace
and mechanical industries) ¨
Critical assessment of detail (check of coats and seals,
analysis of chemical reactions, identification of corrosion and pitting,
localization of weld area burn through) ¨
Video Tape documentation of critical process (pharmaceutical
industries) | ||||
